Unexpected Journey–a novel coming soon

Unexpected Journey, the recipient of an award from the Kentucky Foundation for Women, is under contract with Rogue Phoenix, who have announced its publication date as August 19, 2011.  The story, a historically accurate account of Colonial life in the 1700s, is a coming of age novel that brings together the lives of three very different people: Rachel a well-bred English girl, Anna a street-wise girl from the London slums, and Gishuk a Delaware Indian shaman.  This book could be of interest to anyone who enjoys historical fiction, and is also a book Native Americans might appreciate since it honors, without romanticizing, Delaware Indian life.
